I would like to invite you to join us this Thursday from 12-1pm in Charlton Hall (Guggenheim 2-31) to talk with researcher and entrepreneur Dr. Perry Hackett about turning Minnesota into the Silicon Valley of Biotech. In addition to having 50 years of research experience in the fields of molecular biology and genetics Dr. Hackett has co-founded two Minnesota biotech companies Discovery Genomics (est. 2000 for human gene therapy; acquired in 2016 by Immusoft, Seattle, WA) and Recombinetics (est. 2008 for genome engineering of large animals). He has also served as a Walleye during past rounds of the Walleye Tank Pitch Competition.
